Comcast Email

I have not been able to get email for several hours.  Why?  Please get this dealt with ASAP!

What do you use for email? XfinityConnect, an email client?
Are you getting any error messages?

It could be something as simple as the server is temporarily down.

Do check this if using XfinityConnect.

Make sure that the Safe Sender has not been enabled. To do:

Sign in with your PRIMARY username and password
Click Account at the top of the page
Click the Users and Preferences tab
Click on the username that is not receiving email
Click on Email Settings
Scroll down and see if Safe Sender is on. If it is, turn it off.

If it continues post back.

Did you check to make sure that the Safe Sender is not on?  See my p[revious post for directions.  Are you unable to SEND, or just can't receive?

I can't even connect to xfinity email.  when it started, the message I got was that it's temporarily unavailable, refresh my browser in a few minutes.  I've been doing that for a couple of hours.  reset modem and router.  restarted computer.  called Comcast, kept getting the same menu and couldn't speak to anyone.  I'm using Windows 7, Internet Explorer.

the problem is that I was in the middle of something very time-sensitive; pretty much too late to fix now, but HOW MUCH LONGER WILL IT BE DOWN???  several other forum messages about this, I'm not the only one. and no, I don't have safe sender on.

Which version of Internet Exploer are you using?  If it is the newest, Version 10, turn on Compatibility View under Tools.  Let us know if that helped at all.

 

I have no idea how long your problem will exist because I don't know what the problem is.  All that I can do, I have done by contacting the Team.

 

I will add though, that I would never rely on webmail for important email.  I use an email client, which downloads all my email right to my PC. You may want to consider that.  Free email programs include:  Windows Live Mail, Thunderbird, GMail.

You can set up any real email client to download to the client Inbox AND Leave a copy of your messages on the server (XfinityConnect Inbox)

 

See if you can get in using the very basic m.comcast.net

Type that in your address bar to go there.  That is the Mobile App.
