Comcast says no help for ---so happy I pay $260 a month for this service!

[ Edited ]

I use Comcast for phone, tv and Internet.  I am getting this message on my computer:

Enter Network Password

Type your user name and password

Server: SMPT.comcast.net

Type your user name:

Type your password:

I called the help desk and they changed my password and after trying that still no ability to make this go away or to send or receive email.  He

said it must be related to the fact that I use Outlook for my email provider, and I should look on FAQ's.

When you changed your password, did you also change your password in Outlook?  They must match up. Are you using Outlook to access email or XfinityConnect?

That worked...thank you...now why couldn't that tech have suggested that?  Seriously?

They should have.  In the future, if you have any problems come to the Help Forums FIRST.  While we cannot assist with billing issues, etc.  many issues can be resolved by posting in the Help Forums.

Glad all is well again for you!

Re: Comcast says no help for ---so happy I pay $260 a month for this service!

I was told to sign up for the 19.99 help package per month.  I receive most of my emails but windows live verification emails with link appear to be blocked.  The person I spoke to was absolutely no help.

I am using webmail.

Thanks
