Comcast upgrade?

Today I received an email saying that comcast is deleting every unused email account, so I should send them a bunch of my information to prove that I use it. However, the email is really poorly written (spelling and grammatical errors), so I'm a little leery about sending out my information. Has anyone else received this one?

Re: Comcast upgrade?

This sounds like a phishing attempt to me. Could you post it here please (remove your email).

  • Always be suspicious of any email or phone call that asks for your personal account information, such as usernames, passwords, and account numbers. Emails, phone calls, text messages, instant messages, or Web logs that appear to come from a reliable source may not always be authentic.
  • Be aware that Comcast will NEVER ask you for password information via phone or email, as that information is private and is only known by you.
  • Comcast will NEVER ask for billing or payment information through email.
