E-mail forwarding photos

What do I have to do to get Comcast e-mail to forward e-mail exactly as it was received? Any photos included in the e-mail received are removed when forwarded and put at the top as an attachment by the e-mail program. Why?

Are the pictures embedded in the email itself when you receive it? If yes, check your Prefernces for replying and forwarding email. Open Preferences, and click on Composing on the left side to see what your settings are for handling.

Which operating system? XP, Vista, Windows 7, Mac OS X

Re: E-mail forwarding photos

Under "preferences - forwarding" the box is checked  to include original message and include headers. There aren't many options.  Yes, the photos are embedded in the received message.

1- Which version of XfinityConnect do you use?  Full or lite?  To check:  Click on Preferences.  The General tab will open showing you which box is ticked.

2-Click on Preferences, then click on Composing on the left side.  Scroll down to Format Email.  Do you have the box ticked to Compose as HTML?

Re: E-mail forwarding photos

I'm using Xfinity Connect, not lite.  The box to compose at HTML is checked.  Is there a chance that Windows 7 is not compatible with the Xfinity e-mail program?

Re: E-mail forwarding photos

I've been using internet explorer, but will try another browser to see if it'll work better.

Just for clarification are the attachments being sent with the forward?

Thank You

Re: E-mail forwarding photos

When I try to forward an e-mail that has photos embedded in the body of the message, the photos either go up to the top as attachments or do not show up at all.  I want them to forward exactly as received, not separately. I've tried two different browsers and they've made no difference.

Re: E-mail forwarding photos

I have no idea what has changed, but suddenly the embedded photos are remaining embedded in my forwarded e-mail.  I tried different browsers to no avail. Nothing else has been changed unless someone from Comcast changed something.  I'm happy regardless but would like to know how it was done.
