Moved other person's similar problem to a new thread as their issue was solved by following my suggestion to reset the IE8 browser settings.
12-26-2011 12:46 PM
I have did all of these things many times, The only thing that work was changing from Internet Explorer to Firefox and all works fine, but I have used IE8 for a long time now with no problems, and should not have to change my browser because Comcast has a problem
I pay to much to be told I can't use the setting that have been working for the last 10 years

how do i correct a zimlet error

If you have recently updated programs like security, your browser may need to be reset.
It's pretty easy using Microsoft Internet Explorer -
Go to "Tools" then ----> Internet Options
Up at top right ----->Advanced
Down at the bottom click on -----> Reset, ------>Apply, -----> OK
You may be asked to set up your Search choice and may need to run your Auutomatic Updates.

A fix that worked for me as suugested by CC tech help was to switch to the LITE veriosn of CC mail It worked so far good luck. If using Lite already switch to the regular version.

Do you use XfinityConnect? The Full or Lite version?
Do you use an email client? Which one? (Eg; Windows Live mail, Outlook, a smartphone etc.)
Which browser/version do you use? And- have you cleared your browser cache?
Which operating system? XP, Vista, Windows 7, Mac OS X
Details of the problem you are having.

There appears to be some conflict between IE add-ons and the zimlets.
For example the Add-on publisher "Amazing Apps / 215 Apps" Add-on Name "I Want This" will cause the error if the add-on is enabled.
I would recommend that you disable all add-ons in IE, then RESTART the IE to see if the error goes away. If the error does go away then you can then do the following to determine which add-on is causing the problem.
1) enable one of the previously disabled add-ons
2) restart the browser
3) goto comcast.net email to see if you get the error again
repeat steps 1-3 until you get the error again
once you get the error you will know that the last add-on enable was the one that caused the problem.
Please let us know if this helps.

The "error with zimlet" goes away only after all the adds along the R. side fill in. Only then
can I access my email. How do I get the CRITICAL pop-up window to erase permanently?

I do not understand the techie vocabulary - is there a number I can call so a tech support person can tallk
me through the process of erasing the "error with zimlet" window? It would be a big help. THANKS.

Actually the problem started when Comcast added advertisements on my personal emails without my permission. Comcast caused the problem, Now comcast correct the problem. Even though we pay for services, whole internet has become an advsetisement tool.

It's has been 3 months now that I am living with this problem. I have done all the ad-on tricks and still the problem persists. When are you going to fix this @#$^&* problem?
