In the Universal Address Book Builder, they say you can transfer addresses from Yahoo, but on the selection screen there are icons for a number of other email providers, but no icon for att.yahoo. How do I get my addresses into the Comcast address book?

If you are using the regular Yahoo Email: You want to export your address book contacts in a csv file format and save it to your pc. Save it where you can locate the file easily.... I recommend your desktop.
Go into Yahoo and see if there is aa tab 'Options">Address book> Yahoo CSV.
After you have exported the csv file and saved it, you can then IMPORT the csv file into Smartzone.
To do: Open Smartzone, click on Preferences, and then on the left side, click on Address book. A window will open showing Import/EXPORT. Scroll to IMPORT. Click on the BROWSE button to naviagate to the saved csv file. Now click on Open. You will go back to the previous window. Click on IMPORT.

Do you use XfinityConnect? The Full or Lite version?
Do you use an email client? Which one? (Eg; Windows Live mail, Outlook, a smartphone etc.)
Which browser/version do you use? And- have you cleared your browser cache?
Which operating system? XP, Vista, Windows 7, Mac OS X

When opening Smartzone, I do not have "Address Book" on the left side, only at the top. Clicking on the address book button at the top does not show "Export/Import" anywhere.
I have been able to import/export in Outlook Express and it functions much as you describe but not in Smartzone.

You need to click on Preferences first then on the left side click on Address book then follow the directions posted above.

Woody,
Thank you for adding 'Preferences'.... My bad- Sometimes think faster than I type. ![]()
To get to the Import/Export window you must open Smartzone, then click on Preferences, then click on address book on the left side, as Woody has posted.

Smartzone was the OLD Comcast email program that has been changed to the new one- The new one is called XfinityConnect. Post back what you are trying to do and we can try to help you further. Sign in with your Username and password- Then to go into XfinityConnect you can click on the Email icon on the Comcast homepage, or you can click on the word Email on most Comcast pages ( See the top right side of THIS page, for example. If you are unable to get into XfinityConnect, let us know what happens when you try.

Woody, thanks for the reply. Unfortunately if it were that easy I had no need to post the question. Within the "Build your address book" link there are options for importing from Outlook, Mac, Hotmail, Gmail, AOL, Windows Mobile, and Plaxo, nothing for Yahoo.
Can somebody please tell me how to import a Yahoo address book?

At this time, XC does not have an easy way to export/import generic CSV's to/from your Address book - they are relying on the Plaxo tools and they come up short in this regard. Comcast has been notified and hopefully they'll fix this issue in short order.
Well, slicker isn't necessarily better - so we do an end run and use the kludgier Xfinity Connect Lite to accomplish our goals...
Exporting/Importing Address books (in Xfinity Connect Lite)
Go into Address Book in XC Lite. On the folder list on the left, you will see an Edit link next to the Address Book link. Click on that Edit Link.
The resulting page will have entries in the middle of the page to export/import CSVs
Please take a moment to fill out the Xfinity Connect/SmartZone Feedback form (the link is in my signature) and tell Comcast that they need to add a generic import/export address book wizard to Xfinity Connect rather than relying on the Plaxo code.

for MrGraph---------
You might also want to take a look at this-----------------
It's free, and you can transfer email account information from Yahoo to Comcast with it.

JR,
Thanks for your help. Your suggestion of using Xfinity Connect Lite worked perfectly.
I did submit a note via the link you provided telling Comcast to add a generic import/export address book wizard to Xfinity Connect rather than relying on the Plaxo code.
Thanks again!

Thank you.
