Re: Insert Picture or scanned document into email

What are you using for email? XfintyConnect? IF you are using thr FULL version, when you want to embed in the body of the email, tick the box at the bottom of the attachment window to show images in the email itself. CC

Re: Insert Picture or scanned document into email

I am using Xfinity Connect for email.  I tried what CCCarol recommended and the moved picture appears in the email with a lined border and little squares in the corner.  When I click on the body of the email to add written info, two crossed arrows, like a plus sign with four arrow tips appears in the window on the end of my mouse marker.  This prohibits me from inserting any info into the body of the email.

The little corner boxes are used to make the picture smaller. What is the size of the picture you inserted? To check, right click on the picture where it is stored, and click on Properties. Post bac with the size it is please.

Re: Insert Picture or scanned document into email

To CCCarole:  I am using Xfinity Connect for email.  As to Full or Life; I don't know.  Browser is Windows Internet Explorer.  Operating System is Vista.  Problem; after moving desired picture from "My Scans" into email body, the picture in body of email is enclosed in a thin border line with little boxes in the corners.  Then to write in the email body, I move the cursor over the body of the email and a small symbol comes up at end of cursor that looks like a plus sign with arrowheads over the four edges. This symbol moves back and forth with movement of the cursor.  This prevents me from writing any information in the body of the email.

Can you post a screenshot of what you are seeing?  To insert a screen shot, use the little tree icon on the toolbar.

Which version of Internet Explorer are you using too?  Thanks,

CC

As Carole has said, the little boxes at the corner of your picture will allow you to size the picture by hovering your mouse over the box and then holding down the left mouse button and "dragging" the corner in toward the middle or out to allow for sizing of the photo [larger or smaller].  The other symbol with the four arrows allows you to move the photo somewhere else on the page by clicking anywhere on the inside of the photo and holding down the left mouse button.  If you're wanting to add text underneath of the photo click anywhere outside the photo and you should see a flashing "bar" at the lower right of the photo; the little boxes in the corner of the photo should disappear.  Hit the Enter key twice to move the cursor below the photo where you then can type whatever you need in the body of the photo.
