Login failed on secondary email account

Im trying to log into my secondary account and I get a message lgin failed..What can I do to fix this?

Reset the password for the secondary account.

1. Go to http://www.comcast.net
2. Log in using the primary username
3. Click on the arrow to the right of "Service Center" then click on Account Management
4. Select "Edit/View Settings for Secondary Accounts".

On the next page you'll be able to change the password for any username on the account.

Tried that..I can get to the primary account fine but it still telling me my login failed

Did you reset the password for the secondary account?

Please get yourself a Forum Name to go by


To fix your issue with " login failed ", and you are positive you have the correct password, make sure you turn off ALL your email programs totally.

If your email client program is running and set to check the server every 10-40 seconds or so, it will not authenticate you when you try to login to the website.

Shut off netscape mail and still no luck. Changed password again on secondary account. I keep getting asked for a username so I am putting in the primary account username and primary account password

Go to www.comcast.net
Click on Account Management link ( under service center )
Click on Change Password option.
See if you have Multiple account listings here to change passwords on.

I have 3 accounts that I can change passwords on. My primary is ok. I have changed my passwords on my secondary accounts but still no luck

OK I finally got access to my second account. I am using Netscape and I will only recieve emails at my comcast mailbox when Netscape mail is off. Is this normal? This did not happen when I was using Outlook express

Check on how frequently Netscape Mail checks the server for new mail. If it's to frequent, it could cause login problems.
