Mac User getting screwed in change over? Apple Mail problems.

So I called twice and each time Comcast told me to wait until June 30th. Well I did and now I have no email, no where to find help other than holding for 20 minutes on the phone. What's the use? Might as well go to Earthlink for this trouble - at least someone answers the phone there. Any forum advice on how I change my settings in Apple Mail to receive my email/send? Good thing I've lost contact with clients - who needs to make money anyway?

rofl, that guy is a idiot, even I knew/guessed what the new smtp servers were, Comcast owns all. ps: Earthlink is the slowest service out.

Re: Mac User getting screwed in change over? Apple Mail problems.

I'm using OS 10.2 and Apple Mail 1.2.3. I can receive mail from
my Apple Mail app. I had to manually change the settings in
System Preferences/Internet/Email.

I can't send mail. It seems to get lost in never-never land. Some other postings indicate that maybe we need to do something in Authentication. Apple Mail Preferences/your account/Edit/Outgoing Mail Server/Options. In my SMTP Server Options my Server Port is 25. The Use Secure Sockets Layer is NOT checked. Authentication is NONE (but I have 4 other options) User Name is BLANK and Password is BLANK. What do I do?

Re: Mac User getting screwed in change over? Apple Mail problems.

I am using Mail and my primary account can send but not receive. Can send and receive using the comcast webmail. More frustratingly my secondary account can send and receive from Mail. The settings are the same for both. Any ideas as to what this might be.

Comcast's answer after ages on hold was that they don't support mail. Great answer. Do they even make Outlook (we only support this...) for Jaguar?
