Not receiving email since 7/4/12

:catsad:For the last two days I have not received any email, and have had trouble with signing in to Comcast Home Page, keep getting notice that email address and or password not correct.  FYI/  I use comcast mail as my only, do not like the live.com mail program.  All was working well with the Comcast Mail but something changed, may have been something I did but I need help please.  Have sent 2 emails to comcast help regarding this problem as well as chatted with tech and talked to someone on the phone, but things seem to be going from bad to worse.  The chat tech was able to send an email to my account, but when I tried, got a pop up which made reference to SCC-1204 problem, and because it took me so long, my chat was logged out.

Yes, I'm a senior (80 yrs) and I've slow down but have not completely lost it and my computer is important to me, for contact with family, games to play, and since I no longer drive I do lots of shopping.  So I would really appreciate any help.   Lost count of the times I tried to put in a new password and it was accepted but, but next time got another notice that user name or password was incorrect .  Please help!

Re: Not receiving email since 7/4/12

You can send your Username to cc_xc in a Private message and see if he can fix it for you.  Here are the directions:  OR, you should be able to use the www.m.comcast.net  which is a very, very basic email program but at least you can send/receive email through it until Comcast gets this fixed.  You are nOT alone in this issue, many customers have this problem and are waiting for a fix by Comcast.

Private Messages (PM’s)

At the top of each Forum page you will see a small white envelope  screenshot.108.jpg

This is the icon for Private Messages, referred to as ‘PM’s’.  A Private Message is a way to communicate in private, to another User, Moderator, or Administrator out of public viewin the Forums.

The white envelope turns to yellow when you receive a PM.  screenshot.107.jpg

To open a PM to read it, double click on the yellow envelope. If you click on the white envelope a window will open with tabs for your Private Message Inbox, Sent Messages, Friends, Ignored Users, and Compose new Message.  You can also access this area by clicking on the Username in a Thread or post.  By default, Private Messages are enabled.  You can disable this feature in My Settings>Preferences> Private Messenger.
