Outlook 2010 fails to get comcast email

Having trouble accessing comcast email via Outlook 2010 on Windows 7 machine.  I chatted with Comcast analyst and after making sure I was using the right settings and rebooting my machine said that I needed get help form Microsoft.  Outlook works fine getting email from Gmail and another email isp.  I could use help . . .
 
Errors:
Log onto incoming mail server (POP3): The operation timed out waiting
for a response from the receiving (POP) server. If you continue to 
receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet 
service provider (ISP).
 
Log onto incoming mail server (POP3): Your e-mail server rejected your login.
Verify your user name and password for this account in Account Settings.
The server responded: -ERR invalid username/password
 
Settings:
 
mail.comcast.net
smtp.comcast.net
checked - remember password
checked - My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication
checked - Use same settings as my incoming mail server
Incoming server (POP3) - 995
checked - This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)
Outgoing server (SMTP) 465
Use the following type of encrypted connection: SSL

Click the drop down arrow next to Options in your post. Choose Edit Reply and delete the part of your email address before @comcast.net

 

Instead of your name use this format xxx@comcast.net.

 

Also remove the other 2 references to the user name under smtp.comcast.net

 

If you do not delete them your post will be removed from public view.
