Re: not receiving emails

Once again Comcast has deleted emails from my inbox.. I still have the emails on my phone but when I logged onto Comcast this morning I only had 6 emails in my inbox.  Why does this happen? I can never retrieve the emails that were lost!!!

Re: not receiving emails

Same thing has been happening to us!  I need some help finding out what can be done to prevent emails from disappearing from our Inbox.  Did you get any help - who should I contact?

Thanks,

Re: not receiving emails

I don't work in that department, but are you sure you have your phone or other devices set to leave a copy of the messages on the server?

Re: not receiving emails

It's not our phone or voicemail messages, it's our email that's disappearing suddenly.  Never had a problem before, but now we're down to the most recent 37 messages in our Inbox and the rest are gone!  Major loss for tracking past communications!!!!

If you know of someone there at Comcast who knows about email, please ask them to tell me how to ask for help.  I can't find any customer service information about email on this website.

Thanks - Amy

Re: not receiving emails

Have you checked your settings for your phone and make sure that it is set to 'Leave messages on the server after downloading'?

Also:  Check your Email Deletion Schedule>  Preferences> Email, scroll down to the Schedule.  Check to see how many days each folder is set up to when it automatically deletes all messages from each folder.  Does that explain why the messages are gone?  While there, make any changes you wish to make to the Schedule & clcik on SAVE to save any changes you make.

If neither of these explains the missing messages, I would change your password to a strong password.  Use a strong password between 8 and 16 characters in length, consisting of a random mix of upper and lower case letters, numbers, and special characters.

Poast back if this helped you or not.
