Hi! I am not able to run a successful business, if people email me and I do not receive them until numerous hours/days later. This is one example. She emailed me yesterday and I received it 4am this morning. This is ridiculous.

So the delay is not with Comcast, but with everyone.net....

Thanks for the assist JR. You're absolutely correct. Those headers tell the story. Please reach out to the sender and have them let Everyone.net there is some delay on their side.

That header is also consistent with Comcast Tempfailing the email for while (rate limits, maybe?), in which case it wouldn't really be accurate to say the problem was about "some delay on their side".

Thank you everyone for the reply. All I know is my provider is saying it is an issue with Comcast. Here was their reply to me. "Our mail provider is aware of the delay issues with Comcast, and are investigating the situation. To the best of our knowledge, emails are not being rejected or returned, simply delayed. Comcast has a history of similar issues dating back a number of years, affecting numerous email services, not just ours."
So now where do I go, shy dumping my provider, dumping Comcast, and getting something else.

Hang tight, gpwsaw. Let me dig a little further. We'll get back to you via this thread later today.

Hey gpwsaw,
We looked into the issue, and it looks to have been sorted out as of this morning. Please let us know if this begins happening again and we'll dig a bit deeper.
Thank you for choosing Comcast.

This was happening again last week. And now today, emails that I sent are going nowhere. I even tried to send myself a test, and I did not get it.

Hi gpwsaw,
I am not seeing any of your mail being dropped. However, it is possible, if you have a signature set up that it is being triggered by some spam filters. Can you please send me the headers of an example message?
Thanks
Aakash

One example is if I email myself a test email, I do not receive it. My signature is:
Take care,

Hi gpwsaw,
So it was some information in your signature (phone number) that was causing non-deliverability. Our spam engines are primarily keyed off end user feedback. So, for us to consider a message to be spam we would have to recieve negative feedback from end users. I have had the the disposition reset, so you should not be experiencing these problems now but you may want to ensure that that the recipients of your messages are truly engaged in the content you are sending.
Thanks,
Aakash

So, back to my original issue. People are sending me emails and I am not receiving those until late or not at all.
01-10-2012 12:28 PM
Hi gpwsaw,
For that example that you posted, the Sender is getting blocked for activity that we are considering to be mailicous. That is why your emails are either being delayed or not recieved at all. Before the blocked is put in place we do send warnings about the activty that we are seeing. Thus, it is on them to process those messages and change their activity to ensure that the block does not get put in. I have unblocked them now, but that is not to say that if their activty contiues that they will not be blocked agian.
Thanks,
Aakash

My employee sends me emails on work related items, and Comcast is choosing to block it. Does not make sense to me, since nothing is malicious.
01-10-2012 02:11 PM
Hi gpwsaw,
I understand that your specific emails may not be malicous. However, the company that you employ to send your email (everyone.net) has other customers, who seem to be conducting some malicous activity.
Thanks,
Aakash

Hello,
I work for a private school and for the last 3 to 4 weeks we are getting notified by our Exchange server that any address going to a comcast.net e-mail is being delayed. These are important e-mails going out to parents regarding their children (like if dismissal times have changed, etc.). How do I get this resolved?
03-15-2012 10:37 AM
Hi BeckyGos,
I am sorry to hear that. Do you have a copy of the notification from the Exchange Server? If not could you send me the domain that you are sending from in a Private Message?
Thanks,
Aakash

How to send or view a Private Message:
Private Messages (PM’s)
At the top of each Forum page you will see a small white envelope
This is the icon for Private Messages, referred to as ‘PM’s’. A Private Message is a way to communicate in private, to another User, Moderator, or Administrator out of public viewin the Forums.
The white envelope turns to yellow when you receive a PM.
To open a PM to read it, double click on the yellow envelope. If you click on the white envelope a window will open with tabs for your Private Message Inbox, Sent Messages, Friends, Ignored Users, and Compose new Message. You can also access this area by clicking on the Username in a Thread or post. By default, Private Messages are enabled. You can disable this feature in My Settings>Preferences> Private Messenger.

We are having the same issues again. In May I signed up for a continuing education class on the other side of the state. I arrived at the hotel last night and the business today for the class. This was a 6 hour drive.
Anyways, I get to the class only to find out that it was cancelled. They sent me an email on May 31st alerting me to that fact.
Well, I did not get that email. This morning, the company sent me the original email again, along with sending that to another email. The other person got today's email, but I STILL DO NOT have the email.
My assistant who received the email, has tried several times today to forward me the email, and still nothing.
I should back up by saying that one other time this business and I tried to communicate and I was missing those emails too.
This is frustrating. The email address of the business sender was toriharkins@kw.com
