I keep getting the message, "Sorry, we were unable to load your email and voicemail". I have tried different browers, resetting defaults, clearing cookies, etc., no luck. Any ideas?
04-11-2012 11:40 AM
Same problem - can log in and go to email page, but when I click on email tab, my email home page will not load. Reported to Comcast tech via phone. Problem is above phone support level of resolution. Got service ticket # and told I'd get a phone call by some other (higher level?) tech within 72 hours!
Went to my I-phone and was able to download all recent emails, reply and send.

It is so frustrating to SEE that you have e-mail but when you click on "email" nothing happens. I also cannot enter my address book or perform ANY other functions within my e-mail today. This has been happening all day today (4/11/12). I too can access my email from my smartphone but not on my computer. This makes no sense to me at all! When is this going to be fixed?!
04-11-2012 01:35 PM
I am also getting this message... anyone gotten any help from Comcast yet?![]()

ALL-
I have notified the Administrator of your posts. Watch for a reply please. In the meantime, have you all tried these suggestions already?
I would try each of these steps in order - retrying getting into Xfinity Connect after each step:
1) Clear your Internet Cache and History and clear your browser cookies.
2) Reset your browser to the default settings.
3) Try a different browser - Firefox, Chrome or Internet Explorer depending on your current browser.
Thanks to JR for this information

04-22-2012 01:37 PM
I have this problem for 2 full days, still happening right now Sunday afternoon. I am an IT tech, it is definitely soemthing wrong at Comcast.
04-22-2012 07:19 PM
i am still having this problem also for a week now comcast insists its my computer which i dont believe.
let me know if you resolve your issue as i will do the same
04-23-2012 07:56 AM
a helpful comcast support rep opened a ticket and was very understanding. thern
late sunday nite another rep said the ticket was still open and comcast has recognized a server problem and they are working on it
he sent me to an alternate location to read up on it under "outages" (the link at FAQ for email for outages is broken) but there was no outage info there as indicated.
However it is now monday morning and the problem seems to have been fixed.
I am happy for this development though it is shameful this is how things go.

This problem just started on my computer a few days ago
04-24-2012 12:13 AM
Iknow this is so frustrating. Comcast is absolutely no help at all , just keeps blaming my computer.
i really dont know what to do at this point. Oh just a bit of help temporarily you can forward your email to another email address and you will recieve your comcast email. I have another email address with hotmail so i forwared my comcast email to it and it worked, so better than nothing for now. Let me know if you resolve your issue and I will do the same.( you forward the mail thru your comcast settings )
04-24-2012 10:06 AM
If you are still seeing this error, can you send me a private message with the email address that is having the issue? I'll take a look and see if I can find anything wrong.
(to send a private message, click on "cc_xc" then "send this user a private message")

04-24-2012 11:04 PM
They are telling me to switch to a new light version whatever that means. I think they have changed the system and now not everyones work
04-24-2012 11:12 PM
this is what I was told Keep in mind I have a new computer and new browser:
From Comcast--upon checking I did not find any known service outages at this time. Please check the following troubleshooting steps as an attempt to restore your email service:
XFINITY Connect officially supports the following browsers:
- PC: Internet Explorer 6 SP2 or higher; Firefox 2.0 or higher - Mac: Firefox 2.0 or higher; Safari 2 or higher
For optimal performance we recommend using FF3.5 or higher, IE 7 or higher, Safari 3 or higher. Other browsers, such as Opera or Chrome may work with XFINITY Connect or with the Lite version; however, these browsers are not officially supported.
Support for older operating systems and browsers are provided using a Lite version. The Lite version will provide support but may not provide all of the same functionality as the full version. You can read about the difference between the full version of XFINITY Connect and the Lite version here
XFINITY Connect is a full-featured way to check email, voicemail, Universal Address Book and calendar from one, central place. XFINITY Connect Lite is an alternative that is available for users who currently have an older browser or operating system on their computer and they are unable to upgrade their browser. Comcast recommends you use the Full Version of XFINITY Connect wherever possible in order to get the best experience.
You can perform many of the same tasks in the Lite version as in the full version; however, the following features are not currently
supported:
- Right-clicking on items to produce menus - Drag and drop functionality - Mouse-over help functions - Information about the size of particular folders - The ability to hide the ad on the right side of the window
To switch from XFINITY Connect full version to the Lite version:
1. Click the Preferences tab 2. Click General 3. Select XFINITY Connect Lite 4. Click Save
*To see the change you will need to refresh your browser window. This can be done by pressing F5.
To switch from the Lite version to the full version:
1. Click the Preferences tab 2. Click the General 3. Select XFINITY Connect 4. Click Save
*The change will take effect the next time you log into XFINITY Connect. You must log out and log back in if you want the change to take effect immediately.

One week and stilll no email acess. I need help and have important documnets saved that I can not acess.
04-25-2012 04:07 PM
i have a temporary solution for you . Create a hotmail account and then go to your comcast settings
and forward your comcast email to the hotmail account. I did that and i am able to get my mail that way. Only thing is can't view old mail just mail sent to you from the day you forward the mail to the alternate email address. comcast needs to own up to this problem . i have had the problem since the 15th, so i know how you feel.make sure you report this to comcast , the list of people is starting to grow so hopefully we will all see results soon. SO EVERYONE PLEASE KEEP COMPLANING SO WE WILL GET THIS FIXED!!!!

Today today I was told to boot in safe mode see if I could log in that way if I can then it's a program on my computer. I say BS. New modem from Comcast and everything went to h*ll, and I try to tell the Comcast Techs to look at this site and I get silence. I have repeatedly told them I am not the only one having this issue and that it looks like we were all effected around the same time.
04-25-2012 04:30 PM
HELP , no email since the 17th of April. I call Comcast everyday and no HELP. I keep telling the techs that I am not the only one having this problem. Need to get corrected PLEASEEEEEEE.

04-25-2012 09:19 PM
THIS IS SO UNBELIIEVABLE. I FEEL YA, DID YOU FORWARD THE MAIL LIKE I SAID???
04-26-2012 01:09 PM
No email acess from home. Finally spoke to someone with some sense. After my IT tech from work told me how to prove Comcast wrong they now understand it's a Permission Issue within my account thru Comcast, something on their end not mine. To prove this I created a new user on my Comcast account and low and behold no problems with the new one. When I explained to Comcast Tech he was in agreement with it is comcast and not my computer. But it's still not fixed.

any luck with your email issue yet???
04-30-2012 08:11 AM
No still no acess and someone who didn't speak good English from Puerto Rico call from Comcast and tried to tell me it was my computer and then closed the case. I had to call again and open another case. Since I created the new comcast email address to prove that it wasn't my computer, they still have their heads up their ***.
How about eveyone else?
04-30-2012 12:21 PM
It's not you, it's Comcast.
04-30-2012 04:45 PM
Well thank you, could you please tell the Comcast Tech this.
05-16-2012 06:26 PM
i wanted to update you. I finally got my problem fixed. I called comcast for 100th time and told them i needed someone higher up to talk to about it . They connected me with internet security.I told the guy the problem and explained how frustrated i was and how long this had been going on. He created a ticket
and a few days later a nationwide repair rep called me and admitted it was indeed a comcast issue.
WOW i couldnt believe they finally said it. Well he then contacted a local manager and set up for comcast to come out to switch out my modem and install a separate router as my other one was built in becuce it was what they call a dory. ( telephone, wifi D3 modem. That was the problem that modem which i had them swap out over a month ago to upgrade for faster speeds. Well that new modem was the problem.
They installed a small little arris modem and a router with wifi also. I am so happy to say I am now back to normal with my email. I hope this helps.
