I can receive email fine, but it gives me this error when I try to send and email:
The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving this problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read the "I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help determining the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail service provider.
The rejected e-mail address was 'abc@comcast.net'. Subject 'Re: February Prayer and Praise', Account: 'Comcast', Server: 'smtp.comcast.net', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '550 5.1.0 Not our Customer', Port: 587, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 550, Error Number: 0x800CCC78 (changed email address)
I'm using an addon email account to the primary account. All the email settings are correct including the server names and port numbers. The email settings are set up for the addon email address and password. Do I use the primary email address and password at all, or only the addon email address and password? Can you give me some options to try to fix this problem?

That error indicates that Comcast didn't recognize the sender email address as a valid Comcast address. Maybe a typo? The interesting part is that the server accepted the user/pass that you used for logging into the server. Was that the user/pass of the new account? And the user/pass of the new account works for checking email? Double check the sender address you used. If it looks OK, try deleting and reentering it.
The user/pass of a secondary account should work for sending email.
