I cannot manage comcast web mail using my iPad ( I can log in and see mail in headings, but cannot open, delete and reply). Recommendation last night from Comcast help was to use a different browser (than Safari). Any help?

Try going to m.comcast.net with Safari.
You can also set up the built-in email client to access the Comcast server.

Thanks. the mobile interface had its issues but I will try it again. Is there a way to avoid deleting messages on web account? I like having them available "in the cloud" vs pulling to any one client.

Not certain this is the correct thread. There are others that help with different access methods. This was one where the Safari browswer used by the iPad was not allowing Comcast's web mail usage.

I use the built-in email clients on all mobile devices but have them leave the mail on the server.
bplvnj, did you try m.comcast.net? I'm guessing that the customer service person didn't know that you wouldn't just pull up a different browser on your iPad. But I'm having a horrid time using the m.comcast.net site on my iPad. I can't get to the "compose" part. Got there once, but am stuck in the folder view.
On my iPhone (as well as on my desktop) the mobile site looks like this:
But on my iPad, the option to Compose is missing. I got to it once and can't get back.

Oh, in all that playing with the iPad, I found that I could use regular Xfinity Connect email if I turned off HTML composing. I often had to tap twice to get things to happen.
It was a bit easier to use if I switched to Xfinity Connect Lite.
I couldn't add attachments in any of the web-based-through-Safari options.

That is the same problem I had with the mobile interface. The menu was too compressed and not usable.

Are you composing in plain text?
