Is that the complete error message you are getting? If not, please copy/paste the complete error message in your reply please.
What are you using for email? Smartzone? An email client? The more details you can provide us, the easier it will be for us to help you.

I am using smartzone, am connected through Chrome, and that is the complete message.. I was sent to -
http://help.comcast.net/content/faq/VBOB
I have ESET security on the computer and other information in the details section includes:
SMPT Server reported: 550 5. 1.0
detail: soap:Sender

We've heard reports that Chrome and the current version of SmartZone don't always work well together. I'm using Chrome and the upcoming Xfinity Connect, and it seems to work well. That doesn't help you now.
Can you try to use a different web browser and have it work?
Can you go into SmartZone Preferences and switch to SmartZone Lite? Perhaps that will work.

Are you getting the Failure with any message you send, or just to this specific email address? What happend when you attempt to send a test message to yourself? Do you receive it?
have you been able to successfully send email in the past & is this a new issue that just started today?

This is a new issue... i did attempt a message to myself and received the same error message... nothing is going out, but messages keep coming in...

Do you possibly have an email client configured that you have forgotten about? Eg: Windows Mail, Outlook, Windows Live mail, etc? If you are able to receive but not send, that sometimes means SMTP port is set to port 25 in an email client, and it has been blocked.

I would guess that if you have configured an emai client, you would know it because you have to enter the settings... However.Look at your Programs under the Start menu. If your operating system is XP, it came installed with Outlook Express as part of Internet Explorer. If you have Vista, it came with Windows Mail. If you have Microsoft Office, it came with Outlook.

Did you try a different web browser? Has it is worked previously in Chrome?
Chrome doesn't have a lot of browser settings but under the Chrome menu, can you Clear Browsing Data?

Can you send me a private message with the email address that is having this issue? I want to check a few things on the back end.

To everyone who's posted in this thread:
Take another look at the URL that came in the error message from the server. This has nothing to do with browsers or email clients, it's about Comcast temporarily suspending the OP's ability to send email. Maybe Comcast made a mistake, maybe the OP is sending "too much" email, or maybe the OP should head over to the security forum and follow the instructions for rooting out a spambot infection. Note to the OP: *no* AV product is capable of detecting every piece of malware that could be running on your computer.

that was one of the "few things" I wanted to check
. As soon as I get confirmation of the email address I can check if it was flagged in our system for some reason.

Understood concerning the software... as for the suspension, i had a chat with the friendly help desk guy who has filled out a ticket... we shall see where this takes us next... awaiting another call from comcast.

Creativecomet,
Are you sending a high volume of email? If not, please check your sent folder... If you're seeing a lot of messages that your are not sending yourself, please change your password immediately.
Thanks,
Adam

Password has been changed... evidently my e-mail address was used to send along some of those delightful viagra ads... at least six sets of them according to my friends... this happened last weekend... that has not helped my plight however... i continue to get the same message in spite of the password change.

Well, for some reason, I can send e-mail again from my laptop... must have been magic...
If you had read the URL mentioned in the error message, the one that I suggested you reread (where it says that the suspension lasts 24 hours) the resumption of your ability to send email wouldn't seem so magical.
