I was reading the User Guide of SB6120 and under Troubleshooting Chapter 3, Page 26 there is mentioned of a reset button on the rear panel of the modem. Well I don't see such a thing. Any one with info about this? Thank you.

I also forgot to mention does it make any difference if the P/N number on the modem is differant than the one on the box? I have not used this modem as of yet.

Reset buttons usually are in a small hoe on the back reachable with a ball point pen, toothpick or a paperclip
What are the two different part numbers?

Hi JamesR
I did look for a area that would take a ballpoint pen or paper clip for a reset but nother there like that. I looked very carefully but still nothing.
There is P/N XXXXXX-009-00 on the modem but on the box is P/N XXXXXX-011-00. X's are the same numbers for both.

Is the user guide for the 009 or the 011?
If you provide the full Part numbers perhaps we can google the info. Or perhaps a more knowledgeable poster will know the answer

I googled for the SB6120 user guide and clicked on the one from the Motorola website (very first choice)..
ON Modem is P/N 545100-009-00 and on the Box P/N 545101-011-00
I been trying to figure out how I could post the page from the motorola website pdf so you could see.

Googling the 545101-011-00 brings up the SB6120
but Googling 545100-009-00 comes up with No Document Found

My SB6120 has no buttons, recessed or otherwise (unlike my router, which does).

Ditto.....
If there ARE any recessed buttons/switches on a 6120.....I haven't found them yet.....!

Perhaps you have documentation for a SB 6220 instead of the SB 6120??
As stated above the SB 6120 does not have a Reset Switch
on the other hand
The SB 6220, being a telephony modem, does have a Reset Switch.

Thanks JamesR for your info. Makes sense and I am guessing it is a typo on Motorola's part about the SB6120 having a reset button. I even printed out the users guide for the SB6120 just to have it on print and it is clear that they mentioned it about the 6120 even thou it is not there. Thank you a lot again. Greg.
