What exactly is a 'Node' in comcast terminology?

With the outages still existing.. the site, map and some personnel have referred to 'nodes' being down, one also referred to these as 'stations'.

It has me wondering, what precisely are they (you?) referrring to?

Is this a physical building/structure with an address, or is this where the fiber line ties to the co-axial system?

the node is where the comcast fiber is connected with the coax that will go to your house. There are a number of customers on one node and multiple nodes per area.
