AT&T U-Verse and you're full of bollox.

The extra speed would be nice.  But not if it can only be used by one. computer. at. a. time.

Here's how we get it to work for a computer.

Plug the computer's ethernet cable in to the modem.

Reset the modem.

Reset the computer.

Then we have high speed to one computer.

The other computers are stuck on the old service.  Which I'm glad we didn't cancel because that's a helluva' lot more convenient then having to pick which computer gets the faster connection, moving cables around, and resetting both computers and modems.

Thanks guys.  Unless you tell me how to get all the computers working on the service at one time, and pretty darn quick, we'll be cancelling our subscription faster than you can say "But wait!  We're faster!"

Faster internet on one machine doesn't help our family enjoy our MMO's.  Faster internet on one machine doesn't help our family enjoy YouTube.  Faster internet on one machine doesn't help our family take advantage of Steam on multiple computers.  Faster internet on one machine doesn't allow us to do everything we like to do in parallel.

I don't know what you thought you were marketing, but it's not worth it to us to be completely unable to share the internet.

Our configuration?  Apparently, the SWITCH is causing the problems.  I have no idea why.  AT&T U-Verse doesn't care in the slightest what's on the other end of the ethernet cable.  But apparently, you guys do.

Thanks.  For NOTHING.

I hope you guys are willing to suck up the loss of the installation fees.  After all, you guys promised "FASTER INTERNET FOR THE HOUSE."  That's not what you delivered.

I noticed you didn't mention anything about a router. Do you have one? Or do you have a gateway (modem/router combo) from Comcast?
