Hello,
Ive been having this problem for a couple of days.
I have an Iphone4s since Feb and Comcast since June.
Wifi had been working perfect, connecting as soon as I am near or in the house and staying on as long as Im home.
On tuesday, after I did an itunes sync, I noticed that my wifi was off. when I tried to reconnect it said unable to connect. I held the reset button on the router and reset my network on the phone. Its been working on and off since then. (I had accidently pressed the WPS button on the router at first, I thought that was the reset button)
It takes about an hour to connect when I get home and it disconnects completely overnight.
I have not done much with the router except change the password.
when I look for connected devices, sometimes the phone is there and sometimes not.
I dont know if its a router problem or an iphone problem or did something happen after the sync.
I was hoping to get advice from people who know the router. Do you think its the router? Has it been known to do this.
Thanks!

I am having the same issue the first day Ihave recieved this. It is completely annoying. I dont see a way to disable DHCP and turn the WIFI off so I can go back to a wireless router that actually works. You can also not do Dynamic DNS with this. Let me know if you resolve your issue.

If you want to turn off the gateway's wifi and use a separate router (very good plan!), you have to call Comcast CS and have them place your gateway in bridge mode, this is not a user-option. Then, you can set up your own router and home network.
The Comcast gateways have a pretty poor reputation in terms or router functionality, and few here recommend using them as such. As modems, they are fine however.

I have solved the problem for now by resetting network settings on iphone, unplugging the router for 2-3 minutes, plug router back in and enter network key on iphone.
So far, it has held the connection again.
I will have to keep an eye on it.

this is more iphone problem if anything.
i use a belkin router and same thing happens.
When I was using netgear router, never really saw this issue.
The netgear was just a standard N wireless.
The belkin is one of those dual-band 5.0 ghz wireless n.
havent messed with it to much, i just do what I do to get it back. not a huge priority though. just a simple observation.
