I just got a leased ARRIS 'Touchstone' Cable modem, and have connected a Linksys EA3500 Router (using Cisco Connect Cloud). As soon as I connected the router the 'link' light on the modem started flashing (roughly 2 flashes/Second) and the WAN port light on the router is showing what looks like constant activity. This has been constant for over 24 hours. Is this normal? Is this a result of Cisco Connect Cloud staying connected to the router, and if so how much data is Cisco transferring?

Is your wireless locked down using the router's wireless security encryption feature ? If so, then see this;
