I just got comcast hooked up today. Everything was working fine and then when I tried to set up a secure network the connection was lost. I have not been able to re-connect. Please help!

How were you trying to setup a secure network? Did you follow the instructions at the top of the Home Networking Board? If you just got a router did you power cycle the modem after connecting the router?

Tell us some details. What model modem and router? What error messages? What operating systems in your computers you are trying to connect. What happens when you try the instructions at the top of this board?
I am trying to make my main computer on the wireless router secure. I have gone through the steps and secured it with WEP. When I try to hook my dell vista laptop to the network it says "The settings saved on this computer for the network do not match the requirements of the network."
Well, I'm not a fan of the Comcast Home Networking service. Yeah, I'm sure that's a shocker to the regulars here ;-). It's way too much money for something you can do better yourself, the gateways they use are crippled, and the service they provide is abysmal.
