I recently switched to XFinity Internet. When I first got it set up, I hooked it directly to my Windows 7 Professional PC. I got an IPv6 address via DHCP. It was great. A week later I purchased an EA4500 and hooked it up. The wireless is great as is the gigabit ethernet wired connection. But I lost IPv6 connectivity. My EA4500 isn't getting an IPv6 address. I have played with all the settings and nothing. Is anyone else set up this way? What am I doing wrong?
Thanks,

Did you get a Comcast issued IPv6 address or one from a Microsoft automatic tunnel?
A Comcast address begins with 2001:558:
Your headend equipment has to be upgraded to support IPv6.
If you have a Cisco headend it most likely hasn't been upgraded yet.
If your set top box for TV is the Scientific Atlanta brand (now owned by Cisco) you are on a Cisco headend.

I am running 2.0.37.131047 for firmware. I don't have any cloud options but I literally just bought the router, so I doubt I am on any deprecated firmware.
I was geting a comcast IP v6 address. I don't recall it now but I looked it up when I got it. When you say set top box are you referring to my router or modem? I only have internet no cable or phones.

I said set top box for TV.
The EA4500 should get an IPv6 IP address automatically if its default IPv6 configuration has not been changed and if the headend system for your internet supports DHCPv6.

Your on a Cisco 10k, Cisco 10k's are not supported for v6 yet. You could have got a Auto-tunnel from Windows or 6to4 setup. We currently support 6to4 if you want to set that up.
