Motorola Surfboard Password

Hello,

 

Been having issues with my Motorola Surfboard wireless option. I can connect to modem with wireless, but when prompted for password I can't get through. I obviously typed password in wrong or made some kind of mistake, because my previous known password, the password on back of modem and "motorola" don't work.

 

Can I just restore factory settings by pressing a button? I tried pressing the one on front for 45 secs and nothing happened!

 

 

Any help would be great!

So you don't have a cable modem, but a gateway?  What exact model? 

 

Yes, if you press the reset button on the back and hold it for some amount of time, all gateway settings should be reset to factory defaults.  But the amount of hold time varies from device to device and you haven't told us what you have.
