I have comcast cable, and my cable modem is Arris TM5026. I got a Nook Hd for Christmas and I want to have Wi-fi connection. What kind of router do I need for my modem? What do items do i need to purchase.

You need a wireless capable router. Linksys, D-Link, Netgear, Asus, Apple Airport are all good brands. Just don't go *bottom of the barrel* on any of them.

I also received a Nook HD for Christmas. So I don't need to change anything with Comcast, just go to the store and buy a wireless capable router?

That depends on what you have now, a regular straight cable modem or one of those combo modem / router gateway devices. What is the exact make and model number of what you have now ?

can you be more specific? I'm looking on Amazon and there are too many to choose from and haven't a clue which to choose from.
