Essentially I want to limit all the wireless connections in the house to 3mbps.
The router that was built in to my old at&t gateway hadthe ability to do it, but as yet I've not been able to find a single stand alone router with this feature.
I don't need parental controls or the ability to black out service during certain hours, just want to control the flow of data more intellegently.
If anyone knows of a router that can limit wireless bandwidthe please leave the make/model name or a link.

How hard do you want to work to do it?
You might look at DD-WRT. It's a 3rd party (mostly) free router software that can run on many devices, and it has a huge number of features. I have never pursued using it for limiting bandwidth but I see discussion about doing so in various places.
It is not for you if you don't like to spend hours filtering through lots of old information and forums to find out how. But if you really get into it, it has far more features than any store bought router. Start here: www.dd-wrt.org but be aware much of the documentation is a bit outdated, you have to read through the forum posts.
If you do some google searches around "limit bandwidth dd-wrt" you will find other postings. Again... I have not used this feature (though I do use DD-WRT), and do not know how well it works. And DD-WRT is not for those who want to just plug something in and go. But it has a LOT of features if you like to experiment.
