Login to the router's configuration page, by going to 192.168.0.1 in your browser. Go to the wireless security page to see and change the password.
If you tell us the model of router you have, we can provide more detailed information if you need it.

Some Routers have a slihtly different address of 192.168.1.1 if you tell us what make and moel your router is we might be able to provide more explicit assistance.

You got my attention. If you would be so kind and to name the router that uses 0.254 I will add it to my list.
If you have the default uid and password I would appreciate that as well.

I have notes that show some very old Sitecom routers using 0.254 with admin/admin. I was also thinking of the 2 Wire equipment which really is 1.254, which is DSL equipment.
How about the Motorola WR850G routers usin 10.1 and using admin/motorola
If I find more details in my notes, I'll ammend this answer.

And just to be weird, I have my router set up to use 192.168.3.1, but I'm not sure why. I think it may have come from when I was replacing my previous router, so I set the new one up with a different address range.
