My email through xfinity works fine on my Mac with Safari Snow Leopard except when I try to compose a new message. Can't get a cursor to appear in the message frame to allow me to type the message. Funny thing it works OK on my wife's account. Any ideas?
I believe there may be some incompatibilities between Xfinity Connect full and lite versions and whether or not you are using composing in HTML. Fiddle with those settings in Xfinity Connect.
While in Xfinity Connect in your web browser, explore the preferences in Xfinity Connect. The interface has changed, but when I just went in using Safari and Lion, I tapped on Preferences, then Email, then Composing. Compose as text instead of as HTML. It seems to save immediately.
I have had the same issue and it's quite annoying. I wish Comcast "knew' when I wanted to post a new message to someone.
I have simply tried to post once, realized that it does not want to post, go back to either the email I was attempting to respond to or simply create a new email message and try again. All of a sudden, I'm allowed to send a response or a message.
Makes no sense and it drives me nuts. How do we complain?
