For the last few days, I have been unable to reach www.google.com using Firefox, safari...and just tonight, used windows (which I have on my mac using bootcamp). Yesterday, I did reach it on my PC at work.
Does anyone else have this problem: (am getting a timeout)..also, I get all the other webpages.
take that back : also cannot reach www.drphil.com (am checking all my "favorites"...there may be more I haven't checked them all..
THANKS

I have several mac's on my own wireless network using comcast at home.
At work, have pc's on corporate network.
Didn't bring my work/laptop/PC home this weekend...it reached google yesterday from work.
But I tie it into my wireless network when at home, so that would have been a decent test of this problem.

Can you ping www.google.com? Can you post a traceroute?
Since you can't reach it using Windows, either, what makes you think this is a Macintosh issue?
Can you get to these sites if you connect the Mac directly to the modem instead of going through the router? You'll need to power-cycle the modem when you change the device connected to it.

Yes, it was the router
I forgot the first law of everything...reboot.
Had restarted all the computers...but forgot the MAIN THING...to reboot the wireless router.
Did that this morning when one of the computers lost internet contact..
and guess what... THEY ARE ALL FIXED NOW..
can reach all the troubled sites.
Am going to put up a big stickie : RESTART ROUTER if ANY problem
THANKS all with your suggestions!
