I just had comcast installed yesterday and when going through the activation technician installed ComcastDesktopInstaller_MMF3.pkg on my Mac without permission. He said it was absolutely necessary for activation and I could remove it afterwards. Well I have no idea what it did, but I want it removed. NOW! It's throttling some of my traffic. It seems to be some sort of spyware. I'm not sure what it modified but I'm not having any throttling on any other computers. Has anyone else seen this? Any ideas on how to remove it?
I may have to reinstall my OS if I can't fix this problem and report the incident as criminal trespassing.
I've extracted the package contents here http://cl.ly/1e0T1M0e2m1S2Y3b2p2Z

It's not required for activation, the tech is in left field. Just remove it. As far as I know it's not spyware or any kind of throttling app, but it can sometimes mess with your browser's home page. It should be in your Applications folder. Just delete it. If you have any other trouble let us know, we can dig up how to romve any left over pieces if they cause you trouble.
Criminal tresspassing is a bit of a stretch, as is reinstalling the OS. Just delete the app.

There was no "app" installed.

Well, he might have installed it on the Desktop as opposed to the Applications folder. If so, just drag it to the Trash.
