Reporting Spam in OS X 10.5 Leopard

In the past, users of Mac Mail have had to take extra steps in order to report spam to Comcast. Doing so involved setting Mail to leave a copy of each message on the server, logging into Webmail occasionally, finding the Spam messages, checking the boxes and clicking Report As Spam.

Leopard's updated Mail finally includes a Forward As Attachment feature. Now, reporting spam is as easy as choosing the offending message in Mail, then in the menu bar choosing Message>>Forward As Attachment. Address it to missed-spam@comcast.net and make no changes to the message. So now, in the future don't just empty out your junk folder, help fight spam by sending all of the spam from your Comcast account to missed-spam@comcast.net using the Forward As Attachment feature.

Re: Reporting Spam in OS X 10.5 Leopard

  I am new for comcast

I AM NOT REPORT SPAMS.   I AM LOOKING FOR YOU TO TRAIN ME AS A NEW COSTUMER.

THANKS

You are a little too complicate for me to find my page where I can find or set my income telephone calls that will arrive to my phone when I am not in my house.

Also, where I can find my email windows to send emails

You show a great deal of miselaneous that does not take me any where.   Rather do no mean any thing to me.

Could you help? Or I need to contact costumer service because costumer support did not take me not where in the internet.  May be they would do better if I contact them personally.

At the top of this page click on Customers then Help and Support. There are many answers and tutorials for you to use.

I think it is not Comcast's responsibility, other than to provide help and support, to train you on using your computer and related tools. Read the help and support then try using email and the Comcast page. If you then have specific questions please post back in an appropriate board.

Re: Reporting Spam in OS X 10.5 Leopard

Hi Joel

Thank you for your input for SPAM which has gone out the roof lately.

I was told to send to  missed-spam@comcast.net as well, BUT... was instructed

to go to...

VIEW

MESSAGE

ALL HEADERS

so Comcast could have as much data as possible.

Honestly, I don't know.  Reporting SPAM doesn't seem to be helping prevent it for me.  I get more messages

from the same folks, guess they are tweaking their data some.

Regards,

Patrick
