Trouble with Mail function on MacBook and iPhone with gmail account

I have just recently moved to area and am new to Comcast.  I had my internet installed and went to use my Mail function in my iPhone, MacBook and iPad but can not get it to work. I use gmail and will not be using comcast for my email. I move frequently and do not want to change every time I move.  All the forums I have seen deal with fixing problem with comcast email.  I tried all the port changes but the do not work.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have figured out how to change outcoming and outgoing and have changed them according to directions. Now I am getting the message of unable to connect due to invalid certificates.

You'd probably be better off asking in the Google Product Forum.
