os8.6/exporting contacts to OE4.5

Mac systems are not able to read .csv files does anyone know another way I can save this file or even read it so my computer will know what it is to try and add it to oe as a contacts list. Sorry if this is confusing my brian is fried trying to figure this out. ask questions and i will try to clarify.
