How do you create Photo Albums from photos shown in the Photo Galery?  I watched the tutorial, but when I left click on a photo in the galery, the drop down menu does not include the option of moving the photo to the Comcast Photo Center. I'm assuming this is a prerequisite to createing an album.

I needed to be signed in to the Comcast page building tools.

Then I looked at the Photo Gallery and clicked on a picture I wanted to move to a Snapfish album. I saw this panel:

I clicked on Send to Photo Center, and it was copied there and put in my "default" album.

At some point along the way I set up a Snapfish or Comcast Photo Center album. I did not watch whatever tutorial they have now. It may be for an older system.

However, it appears that I could create a Snapfish album with my Photo Gallery pictures.

What do you mean by 'signed in to Comcast page building tools"?   After receiving your response I clicked on Create and Edit Pages and then clicked Photo Gallery Page. When I clicked on a photo in the Gallery I got the same drop down menu that you show except the Send to Photo Center is not shown.

That's what I menat by "signed in".

What kind of photo image is it? Mine are mostly JPG files. But when I clicked on a GIF file, I didn't get the Send to Photo Center choice.

You might need to have a photo center account. Look at:

It says:

Sign up for a Snapfish (Photo Center) account today

From the left side navigation of the Comcast.net website:

1. Click Photo Center.
2. Once you are in the Photo Center, click on the Go to Snapfish Photos button.

If you are a current XFINITY Internet subscriber, you will be asked to sign into your account.

Thank you kindly for the quick response.  I don't have a lot of time left right now, but I will follow your advice and see if I can set up an account.  I will let you know what happens ASAP

I contacted Comcast and they told me that the Send to Photo Center option is no longer available in the drop down menu.  The person I talked to indicated that a program called Plaxo could be used to do this.  I was able to open Plaxo and although it's home page indicates that it can work with photos, it appears that it can only works with Contacts [email addresses].  The person at Comcast was then confused and said she would look into the problem and get back to me.  I talked with Snapfish and again the person initially though she could help me. I pointed out to her that somewhere in my wandering around the internet, I read that Snapfish was no longer the source for Comcasts Photo Center[ not sure where I found this info].  After she talked with someone else she confirmed this to be so. If snapfish is no longer available does anybody know of a way to organize Gallary photos into Albums or Folders.

If you want more of a full featured photo gallery, you could use free software like JAlbum.  JAlbum will organize your photos for you into an album.  It will write all of the html code and create the webpage files.  You could then upload the pages and files to your comcast space and create a link to it from you comcast pages.

Another option is to download Picasa from google.  It is also free and has the option to put your photos online at Picasa's website.  You could put a link to it on your comcast page.

Flicker is another photo sharing site online.

Someone pointed out to me that Jalbum is not as free as it used to be. Just a heads-up on that. You may get some ads. But over the years, it's been a great way to create picture-based web pages.

Are you wanting to print your pictures or display them in your web pages?

JAlbum charges a monthly fee if you upload to their website.  I believe it is still free if you use your own web space for your albums.

The suggestions made proved to work around the problem. I received email confirmation from Snapfish that the Send to Photo Center feature is not presently available in Comcasts PWP.  I already had an account with Picassa so I did as lead5alpha suggested and created albums on their storage site and then embedded them on my web pages via the method outline by BethKatz in her response to another inquiry on 3-13-2112. This actually works better with photos as the quality of the photos from the Picassa site is much better than those in the Photo Gallery. So thank you all very much for your help. It's nice to know that there are people like you out there who are willing and able to help others like me. God bless you all.

I still have the previously arranged connection with Snapfish, but I now see that it isn't available from Comcast if you try to set it up.

Picasa looks like a great choice.
