I did an online chat with Comcast twice - all they tell me is to reset my browser and download Chrome - still nothing works - I believe I'm being blocked as I'm at a friend's house using verizon DSL - I won't be able to use my computer at home until I get a new router which isn't going to be anytime soon - thanks

We need some more information. First, what message do you get when you try to access your comcast personal web pages? Second, post the url of your personal web page in this format http://home.comcast.net/~username/ so we can see if we can see it.

Have you ever been able to see it? Did you just recently enable your web pages?

I still see your webpage at http://home.comcast.net/~my_pages/ances_trees/x_ml
Did you ever download CoreFTP LE and try it as I had suggested?
What add-ons are you using with IE 8.0? Since the page is accessible, I don't think this is really a Comcast problem, but rather a security setting problem. You never explained why you won't use your computer at home until you get a new router. Is it a security issue, a wifi issue, or just a personal preference? When you talked about being at a friend's house using their DSL were you able to access your page from there or no?
We know at one point in time you had access to your PWP or those pages wouldn't be accessible at all. Are you still a Comcast internet subscriber? I know that sounds like a dumb question, but if you no longer have Comcast internet then you would no longer be able to access your PWP. And you should be able to type in your browser's location bar ftp://upload.comcast.net, enter your username [without @comcast.net] and password to see a listing of your files. Make sure you do NOT have pop-ups disabled or you won't get the box to type in your username and password. Even in Windows Explorer you can type in the location bar ftp://username@upload.comcast.net to see your file listing, but again, you need to make sure you have pop-ups ENABLED [pop-ups allowed for Comcast] in IE [you should be able to find that setting in IE under Tools.
[FWIW, you can use any browser you want.]

Joep247, if you have a question, please start a new discussion here. Use the "New Message" button at upper left when you are viewing the Personal Web Pages board. You can get there by tapping Personal Web Pages (upper middle) while viewing this message in the help forum.
I'm locking this thread since it referred to another user's problem.
