I've been clicking around this whole site for half an hour just trying to find a link to take me to where I start building my personal web page. Why is there not a link or reference to it anywhere on the "getting started" page? Thanks for telling me all the stuff I can use, but WHERE DO I GO TO USE IT?? Can't there be a simple link to it from my account settings or something? Why is it so difficult to find?

Nevermind, I'd rather use a pay site than not be able to navigate this place.

That's probably a good choice. Google Sites are free.
The Comcast personal web pages are not advertised or supported. However, the most recent threads here in the PWP part of the help forum have links to the starting page.
This is the URL for the Comcast page-building tool: https://publish.comcast.net/home/index/
You need to have enabled your pages from Customer Central > Users & Settings.

Why have them available if they're not supported? I don't understand.

I haven't been able to access my web pages February 2, 2012 - nor can I upload - you would think that Comcast would have sent an email as to what is going on

Web page access is working. I can access the web pages both by the comcast online tools and by ftp.

Although the web page tools have been having problems the past two weeks. They are accessible from the link I posted above - https://publish.comcast.net/pages/index/ or https://publish.comcast.net/home/
Comcast provides space for the personal web pages. Many people have built pages over the years. So Comcast isn't just eliminating them. At least not yet. But Comcast doesn't actively support or advertise them and hasn't for a few years.
I strongly suggest using some other site hosting if your pages matter to you and you'll be advertising them. There is no assurance that they won't disappear if hosted at Comcast.

I am trying to setup a web page. I am told to goto https://publish.comcast.net/splash/disabled/ but a splash screen only allows me to logon to my account or view a video. If I re-log onto my account it just takes me to my account page, and I still cannot get to the page which allows me to setup a web age. If I choose the only other option, view the Video, I still can't get to the web page creation site. Tired of going around in circles...

Are you sure you have PWP enabled at https://customer.comcast.com/Secure/Users.aspx? Also, don't use the "disabled" link. Use one of the links Beth posted.

I am absolutely sure I have enabled the web page for my account. I have used the links Beth posted and it makes no difference. I CANNOT get past the splash disabled screen. It keeps taking me in circles. https://publish.comcast.net/pages/index/ or https://publish.comcast.net/home/ do NOT work for me, they just take me to the splash disabled screen. I don't need to watch the video, I have already logged into my account, I don't need to do either of these tasks again,BruceW wrote:

This was the same problem I was having, an endless loop of sign in, but getting nowhere else.

Yep, was going in circles and not getting any meaningful help here, glad to see it was not just me.
It just "Magically" began working a short while ago. I suspect they were having a problem making the sites available. Seems to be a recurring issue.

If you keep getting the "disabled" page, it could be that Comcast is being slow enabling the space for your pages. It could be that your web browser has cached the redirect to the "disabled" page. So something you could have tried was flushing your browser's cache or resetting your browser.
The Comcast tools are really not good. Using something else to build your pages and uploading to your space is much better. Even using Microsoft Word works. Save as a web page and upload the whatever.htm file as well as the directory of supporting files.
I'm sorry you didn't get immediate help, but this is a customer-to-customer help forum. Unless our names are in red, we are volunteer customers like you. Comcast doesn't seem to employ people who understand how to use their web-page-building tools.

I'm having the same problem! I had multiple exchanges with the chat support person and she finally wrote "oh, we have a dedicate phone line for this" so why not tell me at the beginning!??!?! The service and support for this sucks!

Randy, by now your page space should be available.
If you are having a specific problem, please start a new thread.

Please do as someone suggested and make a new topic. As the original poster of this thread, I was done with the conversation weeks ago and am tired of the email notifications of new replies. I wish I could delete the thread.

Click "Topic Options", Unsubscribe near the top of the page. Done.

And I moved the extra messages out of your thread. I'll lock it now.
