Before I empty Trash & do something stupid....

Secunia has been showing me an End of Life for Macromedia Shockwave Player V. 8 for months now.  I have ignored it because i couldn't find it in Add/remove under Macromedia or Adobe.  Finally realized that by clicking on the + sign next to it in Secunia's scan results, it shows the path for it.  Which is this:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Shockwave 8\SwInit.exe, version 8.0.0.196

I did a search, found it, and moved it to the Trash Folder. Question is:  Can I safely empty the Trash Folder & won't mess up something else in Windows? :smileyshocked:

Secunia is already showing my score at 100%.  TIA

Delete it!  The version of Shockwave I have is 11.5.9r615. That should be the most recent, but if not it's close.

To find out what version of Shockwave you have installed, go here:

For the FlashPlayer, go here:

Thank you LPP.  Yes, I do have Version 11.5 installed and have Adobe Flash Player 10.1.102.64.  Now will empty my Trash...:smileywink:
