Secunia has been showing me an End of Life for Macromedia Shockwave Player V. 8 for months now. I have ignored it because i couldn't find it in Add/remove under Macromedia or Adobe. Finally realized that by clicking on the + sign next to it in Secunia's scan results, it shows the path for it. Which is this:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Shockwave 8\SwInit.exe, version 8.0.0.196
I did a search, found it, and moved it to the Trash Folder. Question is: Can I safely empty the Trash Folder & won't mess up something else in Windows? ![]()
Secunia is already showing my score at 100%. TIA

Do you use an email client? Which one? (Eg; Windows Live mail, Outlook, a smartphone etc.)
Which browser/version do you use? And- have you cleared your browser cache?

Delete it! The version of Shockwave I have is 11.5.9r615. That should be the most recent, but if not it's close.

Thank you LPP. Yes, I do have Version 11.5 installed and have Adobe Flash Player 10.1.102.64. Now will empty my Trash...![]()
