Hi maggiew3187,
I have seen your three requests for a download for version 5. Ihave to ask if you use ID safe for your logins - as a backwards transfer of the ID Safe Data is not possible. So you would lose all your ID Safe Data and have to rebuild your database if you use ID Safe.
I just want to make sure you are aware of this before you consider doing it.
Also - do you have any other security programs running in real time whicih could be conflicting with Norton - causing your slow down?

Hi thanks for replying, and no I don't not use id safe, and I have no other security programs running along with Norton, Its just since I downloaded version 6 the other day, a lot of stuff on my laptop seems to be running a lot slower, including my internet than it did when I had the previous version.

Please see this post - the link work earlier this month - not sure if it is still available.
Be sure to run LiveUpdate (rebooting when requested) until it responds "no updates found". If i remember correctly it may take as many as 10 reboots as it is an old version.
Let us know how things go.

The link worked perfect for me and gave me just what needed, This was the version that I needed and my computer seems to be be running just the way it was before I downloaded version 6 and I'm extremely happy with how everything is working now, Thank so much for your help.

You are most welcome and thanks for letting us know everything worked out great for you.
One more thing for you to do. From the main NSS page, go to Settings > Administrative Settings and turn off Automatic Download of New Version - this will prevent NSS from downloading the version 6 again (which slowed your system).

Seriously you helping me figure this out had made my somewhat crappy week so much better, and also thank you for reminding me to turn off the automatic download, I didn't even think of that.
