Re: Communication error message with constant guard installation

Hello - as  Queen-Evie, points out, we need:

1. The error message - if it's a long,alpha-numeric code - please include it;

2. When are you seeing the message? Are you getting it when  you are trying to install Constant Guard Protection Suite - or when ou are trying to activate it? Are you getting it when you are trying to create your PIN?

If you get the communication error ar PIN creation or activation - it is possible that you just need to make sure your system clock is correct for day, date, time, and timezone, and that the system clock is in synchronization with a common internet time source. This Microsoft Fix It link will help with that:

http://support.microsoft.com/mats/system_maintenance_for_windows/en-us

Also - if you right click on the system clock in the lower right-hand corner of your screen - set the clock time and then click to synchronize your internet time, that would resolve the problem IF it is related to the Microsoft Security Certificate or a security cookie which needs correct internet time.

You could also be looking at a firewall issue. If you try the above, and you still get the error:

1. Make sure you don't really have a connection issues - and your browser is working okay, and then;

2. User the control panel to remove the Constant Guard Protection Suite - restart - and reinstall from www.comcast.net/security. click to SAVE the software to your desktop and then install from the desktop application. During the download and installation, watch for any prompts from a firewall or anti-virus software to "okay" or "allow" the installation.
