Constant Guard - Strikeforce Technology

Please help,

Since down loading Constant Guard I keep getting a pop up "A website wants to open web content using this program  Name: LicMgrEP   Publisher:  Strike Force Technologies.

No matter if I enter yes, no, or never again, it keeps popping up.  How can I get rid of this annoyance?

Thank you

Re: Constant Guard - Strikeforce Technology

Guarded ID is from Strike Force.  Guarded ID is part of Constant Guard Protection Suite.

Please note that it is possible to remove Guarded ID by itself:

Uninstall GuardedID

To uninstall GuardedID, select the program in your computers Add / Remove program and follow the removal instructions, as depicted below:

In Control Panel, select the Add or Remove Programs options
Select GuardedID from the list of installed programs
Select Remove

Note: The Constant Guard Protection Suite application will continue to function properly but will no longer provide anti-key logging, an important security feature.

If this does not "fix it", I would remove CGPS from my system. If you have also have the Norton Security Suite, removing CGPS will not remove Norton.

Hi bennjunn,

You have posted in a thread that was started almost 7 months ago and things change as time passes.  Although what I said before still holds true - we have observed many situatikon caused by the Constan Guard Protection Suite (CGPS) and have been recommending to remove it at the first sign of problems.  Removal of the CGPS will not remove Norton Security Suite and you're pop ups should stop after removing CGPS.

If any other questions, you know where to find us.

Re: Constant Guard - Strikeforce Technology

This is off topic but I would like to thank you for your signature.  My father served as a forward observer in Vietnam when you were supposed to be an officer to do so.  He was not an officer but they ask him to do it and he did.  He almost paid with his life on multiple occasions.  He does not talk of Vietnam much as you can imagine why.  He is a very very modest man, so I am pleased when people stand up for veterans like him.  Just thought I would throw that in there.  I don't mean to hijack you thread :smileyhappy:  I was googling this strikeforce technologies message as well haha.  The good news is I found out what it is and for that I thank you.

Also, my uncle whom I never got to meet never made it back from vietnam.  Marine!  Fought and died for his country and it sickens me when people talk trash about the United States when these young men were doing their duty to protect us.  They do not hand themselves orders, just remember that :smileyhappy:

Re: Constant Guard - Strikeforce Technology

Hi Buddy,

As far as I am concerned you can go off topic anytime you want to in order to make more folks aware of what military personnel have sacrificed over the years.  I am also a VietNam Vet, and do not talk much about it neither, as we were treated pretty poorly and actually looked "down on" upon our return (those of us lucky to return).

I think you said it pretty well when you spoke of your uncle:  "Also, my uncle whom I never got to meet never made it back from vietnam.  Marine!  Fought and died for his country and it sickens me when people talk trash about the United States when these young men were doing their duty to protect us.  They do not hand themselves orders, just remember that ! "

I try to look at things very differently in this day and age.  I thank every service member I see in uniform now and let them know that we are supporting them and appreciate their service....something that was drastically missing when I came home from Viet Nam.

Re: Constant Guard - Strikeforce Technology

This site keeps popping up and is a real pain...I have tried to delete it but to no avail.

I am not sure what this program is supposed to do but it is certainly very annoying.

Using programs and featuresI tried to delete this and it just didn't move

Would appreciate help in this matter immediately .

Re: Constant Guard - Strikeforce Technology

Hi - What "site" are you talking about? Strikeforce is not going to pop up. If you are trying to remove Strikeforce, which if it installed as part of Constant Guard Protection Suite, would actually be listed in the Programs as "GuardedID," with gidd.exe as the file name.

Re: Constant Guard - Strikeforce Technology

USAF_E-8_RET,

Thanks for the info on StrikeForce Technologies' pop-up.  It sounds like a good thing if it defeats key stroke logging trojan horse programs that might have made it into your machine.

More importantly, thanks for your military service and your reminder to everyone about the commitment and sacrifice each and every service person makes to protect the way of life and the freedom we truly enjoy in the USA.  May future generations of Americans continue to treasure and protect this unique but fragile democratic experiment started by our Founding Fathers.
