I downloaded Constant Guard, rebooted, and now when I bring it up it's saying inactive or expired account. Where do I go from there?

Constant Guard is of no use, just remove it.
Install ESET and Hitmanpro, if you want free, use MS Essentials.

As MS Essentials is an ANTIVIRUS only, one would also need a firewall. Please do not lump MS Essentials into the suite category. I see people recommend it for AV but they never mention the need for a firewall. If you want to advise people GET IT RIGHT, GET IT CORRECT.
To Erin: you can uninstall the Constant Guard portion. Doing so will not affect Norton.

Thank you for response.
Constant Guard causes more headaches then its worth, the amount of issues on the forums is evidence enough.
Uh, excuse my woeful lack of ignorance, but doesn't Windows since XP, have an existing firewall baked into the operating system? That being the case, then why does someone need to install additional firewall software on top of what they have already?

Yes it does have a firewall. But you need to tell people to use it. There are those who are unaware that it exists.
Also, uninstalling Constant Guard will LEAVE the Norton component on the computer.
For you to say "uninstall Constant Guard and install Eset, MS Essentials, or whatever else" would result in 2 active antivirus programs. And it is NOT a good idea to have 2 of them as they can conflict with each other, cancel each other out, and leave a system with little or no protection.
You need to get your facts straight and the way to do that is to KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT in regards to Constant Guard. It's separate component of the program. If you are aware of the issues with Constant Guard by reading the forums you would know this. Then you would not be making a blanket UNINSTALL this and reinstall that post.

Ok, lets create a video on how to use Windows firewall, are you game?
Ah, I left removing Nortons didn't I? My bad..
Yes, having two anti-virus programs is not good, as they both will fight for resources.
Regarding facts, how about creating some videos on removing Constant Guard and Nortons?
That way once they are created, you place them as a sticky topic.

Hi Erin - that message actually keys off of your xfinity subscription. Is it possible that you just subscribed to the xfinity service? It may simply be a case of the activation not being present for all of the xfinity services. So, can you tell me if this is the case and you recently subscribed to the xfinity broadband - or have you been a customer for awhile, and this has suddenly happened?
Also - have you been able to successfully download and install the Constant Guard Protection Suite, but when you click the system tray icon, you get the activation/expired message?
Thank you
