Yup, you can install it on up to 7 systems on a residential account!

Please help me with my problem--I accidentally downloaded Norton internet security--it isn't' free--compliments of comcast.  I tried to uninstall it in my control panel-but it wont budge--this Norton is not compatible with windows 8--it is causing all kinds of havoc . I need it uninstalled and the free simple pkg installed. Help--

Hi katunga100,

In you post above, please select Options and thenedit from the drop down and delete your name and email address.

Norton is not officially supported for Windows 8.  Most of it will work however without problems from what I have heard.  There is aboard on the Norton forums that canbe used for reference and might hep you out.

If you can not do the normal Control Panel uninstall, then I am at a lose -perhaps someoene who has used Win 8 can help.  The following will work for XP/Vista and Win 7:

Please keep us posted.

Re: Free Norton Antivirus

The Norton product that Comcast offers to their users is "Norton Security Suite", and is free to Xfinity Internet subscribers.

Your description sounds like you downloaded Norton Internet Security trialware somewhere.

For information on the Comcast Constant Guard program and Norton Security Suite, go to:

Windows 8 is in beta and not released yet.  To find a trail of NIS that works with Windows 8, go here: http://us.norton.com/windows8/promo
