Actually I think you'll find NT is referring to MS operatings systems. NT stands for New Techbology if I remember correctly.
Let me ping one of the admins, I believe it is a provisioning issue and they can fix it,.

I have the same problem, so how can I fix it? Thank you!

Try this:
Call Comcast and the ask the CSR to roll and reprovision your modem.
Please post in a new thread if the problem continues.

I'm only getting this error on certain sites. For example, I've been on facebook all day and can play The Sims Social game on facebook, but when I try to play Diner Dash on facebook, I'm getting the NT UserID error.
Should I still "call the CSR and have them roll and reprovision my modem"?
Thanks!

I'm not an expert, but I have read the entire thread. Many of the posters are referred to messages numbered 63 and 57. Have you tried to do what is suggested in message number 63?

I'm having this same problem! I have called Comcast several times to have the modem reset or whatever it is that they do, but I am still having the issue! Very frustrating!
Any other suggestions?
Thanks for the help!

The only suggestion I have would be to call Comcast Support and see if you can get to a higher level technician.
If you don';t have any luck, post back here and we'll try to get the problem elevated for you.

I am having this issue as well. A technician came and switched the box and since then this started happening.
It takes me to this page:
It also made me activate the new equipment when trying to reproduce the error in a different computer.
Please help.
Thanks!

To: CC_Dete, retired admin
Please fix this issue for me if possible...I see a multitude of similar posts regarding this NT User sign in screen popping up unexpectedly. I am a Mac user on 10.7.4 OS.
I just installed a new Motorola modem Model # SB6121 yesterday and registered it with a Comcast customer support person (took 3 calls and over an hour to complete).
My A/N is 0162413882604.
Mac ID: 7CBFB16149FA
S/N : 359079221320770101012019
Thank you very much for your assistance.

This NT ID user pass word keeps popping up,what is it and how do I signe in

With so many of your customer having this problem, you would think you have a solution
09-15-2012 06:16 PM
Call in and ask them to "roll and re-provision" your modem

In addition, it can't hurt to also mention the term "APT push".

I tried calling a technician and asking him to re-provision the modem based on this issue. I was told to clear my cookies and then was abruptly hung up on.
Oh the many reasons why I hope that I can QUICKLY escape to an area where I can choose Verizon as my provider...

Please Sign In - NT User ID and Password. error.
I have had my cable modem for 3 months and on the 2nd of October the above screen started popping up on a Win 7 laptop (web-browsers are being redirected). Its asks for my NT User ID and Password, which I don't know or I get redirected to an error web page that says:
"Chromium's connection attempt to activate.comcast.com was rejected. The website may be down, or your network may not be properly configured."
My other network devices are all working well - - even, other computers. I've called numerous times and provided all my CableModem's MAC addresses and serial numbers I've had refresh signals sent, etc. I've spoken to 5 different service reps who were friendly but ultimately have been unable to help. Last night I used the text messaging feature to ask for assistance because I wanted a record and it was there that I was told that it would be 3 more "business" days before they would be able to fix the problem. (Provision-ing issues?)
Not sure what to do at this point. Re-Provisioning a network device shouldn't take a week to accomplish.

After installing a new modem I get "Nt User ID" login on some sites I visit not all. Some sites are banking so this is very troubling. Two calls to Comcast customer service I was told they never heard of this problem and neither resolved my problem. Please help
