I am constantly getting Protection Suite Error notices and I don't know how to remedy this problem, please help

Hello,
It would help if you can describe what error messages you are getting. From what you describe it makes it very difficult to have anyone help you out. With all the problems which people have with the protection suite I would just uninstall and remove the program and still run norton seperately with no problems.

The easiest fix is to uninstall Constant Guard Protective Suite via Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs (Programs & Features). This will leave you with the Norton Security Suite in tact.
I found this posted by expert under " search board "

Hi turret, if you have no joy with the previous recommendations, please post back as there may be other components of Constant Guard Protection suite that may need to be removed individually.

I too have been having problems with errors with the Protection Suite and Constant Guard log-in for almost 2 weeks now. I used to be able to click on cancel for logging in to my email when box came up. Only used the PIN log-in for checking my account and paying bill. Now it won't let me. When I log-in with my PIN, an error box comes up with "webpage error-page will not display properly." I went into chat and they said to uninstall it and reinstall. That didn't work either! Still have same problems. I will have to mail a check now instead of paying online. I don't get a paper bill, but can check what my balance is with errors on page. I refuse to put in my checking account info on an unsecure page!

Oh, and I'm also tired of this Comcast coupon for $25 off or something popping up every time I am online, whether on Comcast web page or another one!

What Comcast coupon? What exactly does it say?

Garden Green and $175 off triple-bundle play with Comcast. They are different every time and two just came up as I am typing this lol. They come up on Facebook, yahoo and hotmail email too. Or, when viewing a video or searching the web. I have pop-ups off so why is this happening?

I am not sure I am using this correctly. I was having problems with constat guard not allowing me to go to certain websites. I uninstalled it. However it keeps showing up under installed programs and when I go to uninstall again it says it is not a valid program. In the meantime, ever since i unistalled I keep getting this annoying popup that says Protection suite - There is a problem accessing your list of trusted secure financial insitutions. This is being updated for you. Please try again in a few minutes. I click ok and it comes right back. it won't go away. Im very furstrated., Can anyone please help me. I want constant guard to just go away.

Me too! Now, I can no longer view my bank account, comcast account, SS, Food Stamps, etc. securely! Was told because I have an online account I cannot receive a paper bill. Well tough! I will check what I owe and my bill but will mail a personal check. It will get there when it gets there lol. I cannot use the Protection Suite with my other browsers and it doesn't work now with IE8. Uninstalling and reinstalling doesn't work or help. I have error on page on my homepage. When I try to log-in with my PIN#, I get error box stating webpage error and will not display properly. This is not good Comcast!!!

You most certainly can get a paper bill. If you are enrolled in Eco Bill, unenroll. (if you cannot access your account obviously you will have to wait until your issue is resolved)
Sign in to Customer Central as the primary user account, Account & Bill tab and click Manage statement options.
Check Paper bill, click save.

Do they pop-up in the right upper corner of your screen?
Do you have the Comcast toolbar installed? (I suspect you do)
I had a theory that they could be related to the Comcast toolbar. In order to test my theory I installed the toolbar. Anyone who knows me knows I think toolbars are useless and totally unneccessary. But sometimes I am willing to experiment in order to find an answer for someone.
Anyway, one of the features of the Comcast toolbar is Instant coupons to your favorite stores.
I have Coupons on the toolbar. In the short time I've had the toolbar installed I have gotten 4 pop-ups at the top right corner of the screen, all for Comcast. It tells me I can get a $275 rebate when I sign up for Triple Play. (hello Comcast, I already have triple play. Checking the coupon reveals it is from an AUTHORIZED reseller of Comcast services AND I can receive "up to" $275 rebate when the coupon clearly states a $275 rebate)
The 4th time I finally got a screenshot:
The best way to get rid of the pop-ups is to uninstall the toolbar.
If you want to keep it, click on the wrench icon, Preferences, uncheck Coupons and Deals. Hopefully this will stop them.
*toolbar is now uninstalled thanks to Revo Uninstaller*
For the issues you are having with the protection suite you have choices.
1) Uninstall EVERYTHING and use a different firewall/antivirus.
2) Uninstall the Constant Guard portion and keep Norton. If you choose to uninstall CG, try Revo Uninstaller. The free version is available here http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_fr
Use Advanced mode. After uninstall, let it find leftover entries for you to delete.

Thanks everyone! Uninstalled program and working fine now!

I am also getting the same messages. I uninstalled a couple of nights ago and it was working fine, then this morning the messages started popping up regarding the financial institutions. I have been trying to resolve this for 3 hours now with no luck. I even restored to an earlier date and that didn't work. I am sooooo frustrated and just want this constant guard off my computer. Did you ever get a resolution?

Was Constant Guard completely removed when you uninstalled? It sounds like it was not.
You can try this:

When I uninstalled, I got a message and it said it was uninstalled and to reboot my computer.
04-10-2012 04:06 PM
Nope, still getting the message and NOW the blue screen is back that started this whole thing! This is ridiculous I have spent my whole day trying to resolve this issue. I want constant guard gone!! How come EVERYONE got a message regarding a bot? and then you want money to fix it? This needs to be fixed immediately!

I agree. NSS, even installed without Constant Pain--I mean Constant Guard--has so many issues that I'm ready to go to McAfee, even if I have to pay for it. I am still getting a One Click Support error 3039,69638 and a notice that SONAR Advanced Protection isn't working. I have tried calling Norton tech help, but they totally crashed my computer by using the Norton Power Eraser (I was stupid enough to let them access my computer). From the online forums that I've seen, this issue has been going on for months with no resolution. Pitiful performance by Norton & Comcast!

My computer totally crashed too. Just had to take it in and it has already cost me 76.00 just for diagnostics and I still don't know what is wrong with it. This all happened after installing constant guard. I'm hoping repairs aren't more expensive than buying a new computer....especially since I've only had a little over a year.

We contacted CutePooka directly in order to assist in resolving her issue with this matter.

Yeah after $150.00 later my computer is now working again. AND it was found out that Constant Guard was one of the problems that caused my computer to crash.
