Re: Norton Security Suite & Constant Guard - Proceed with Caution

I am unfamiliar with these systems .... not the computer genius I should be, but I only had a problem this morning when I received an ERROR: 3043,1 Norton Security suite. System is slower and has been for a while - assumed the "Scan Everything" mode was on. But still get CPU Over use "pop_ups". What to do?!

Re: Norton Security Suite & Constant Guard - Proceed with Caution

Hi USN-RET,

Check the date and time of your system clock to ensure it is correct.

Open NSS and manually Run LiveUpdate (located on drop-down under PC Security on left side of main page of NSS) as many times as necessary for it to respond "no more updates available". If a reboot is requested, reboot and then continue to Run LiveUpdate until it responds "no more updates available" and then reboot one last time.

How long have you had NSS installed on your system?

Were there any other security programs installed prior to installing NSS?

Are there still any other security programs installed on your system?

Please post back with theinfo requested and the results of the running of liveupdate.
