Windows Defender and NSS

I have been told it is a good idea to disable Windows Defender when running NSS. I am running Win Vista 32bit. I have disabled Win Def in startup. Is this a good idea? Thanks

Re: Windows Defender and NSS

Running more than one security product that has real-time protection capabilities and/or firewall capabilities can greatly slow down your computers, so if you are running NSS, Defender should be disabled.  The product does this for you, but you can also elect to do it manually.
