Security and Anti-Virus

I have norton on my new PC which was for 60 days and is up in 15 days can I down load the one from comcast now, if so how do I go about or do I wait till the 15 days are up ????  please advise

                 I tried to download the Norton from comcast and it wanted me to unistall the Norton that came with the computer . So I will hold off until our current Norton runs it's time out . You may just want to wait until your 15 days run out also . When you are ready to download the comcast Norton go to the comcast web page and to security tab , then follow the directions . If it was me I would NOT download the constant guard options just take the Norton . I have seen alot of post where the constant guard has caused other problems .

Please be advised you must remove the trial version of Norton you received with your new system prior to install the Comcast version of Norton Security Suite (NSS).

The instructions you should follow are located in the following link:

Since Forums1 suggested only installing the NSS in lieu of the entire Constant Guard Protection Suite, when you go to download the NSS, please click on the No Thanks button on the popup asking about CGPS.  This will reveal the Get It Now buttton which will start the download of NSS.

Thanks!  I just followed your instructions and it worked great.  It did take 5 reboots to get all of the latest software.

It looks like Norton Backup was left behind or loaded separately.  Can I safely just uninstall Norton Backup without losing the recently installed Norton from Comcast?

Absolutely, you can go into Control Panel > Programs & Features (or Add/Remove Programs for XP) and uninstall Norton Backup and it will have no effect on the  Norton Security Suite you just installed.

You are quite welcome for the assistance and yes, I did 23 1/2 years in the Air Force retiring January of 1989.
