I am totally frustrated with Comcast. Have been a new triple play customer since May and they never got my caller id to show up on the television. Every time I call I get a different answer. They all promise me that the problem will be fixed within the week and that they will call me back. That never happens. The last time they said that my order was "parked". I interpret that to mean that no one is working on the problem. My next door neighbors say it works for them so it is not a systemwide problem. Now I am without phone service with no dial tone and have to wait over 2 days for Comcast to come out here. At least I feel better venting here. Thanks for reading.

First of in order to get your caller id working you will need the xfinity triple play and a motorola or set top box. Other boxes depending which market area you are in will be coming but when only comcast will know. If you have the proper requirements and still not get it then it is a coding issue on your account and if you call 1-800 comcast if you get a knowledgeable person they should be able to fix the problem instantly.

I have the Motorola box which has been reset several times to no avail. Comcast can't figure out the problem and they don't come up with any answers to the problem other then reading the details from my telephone logs.

In addition I have called Comcast several times, I have triple play and the problem is still not solved. Right now I don't even have phone service. When I was talking to someone last night, the phone died and now I am waiting until Sunday for a telephone tech to come out here!

Out of the blue, this morning, my telephone is now working and so is the universal caller ID. I don't know what Comcast did on their end but finally the caller id is working after 2.5 months and I have phone service. Hip Hip Hooray!
