I'd like to know why I get the message "call screening number is invalid" for numbers like 888-559-6054 or 800-942-1970 when I try to add the number to call blocking???????

I am having this issue too, and my blocked numbers are NOT blocked, still coming through.

the number that is showing on your caller id is probably not the number that it is being called from.  auto dialers and bots and telemarketers can use a different number to call you and its not what shows on caller id so you can never block it, best bet is to make sure you are on the national do not call registry and if they do call pick up the phone and ask to be added to their do not call list.

Bjahrens, I've checked into the switch and did not see a problem adding this numbers in, could you please verify if this is still an issue for you? Also see if this numbers are in the screening list and notice the format.

I get the message:

"The following number cannot be screened:

(877) 843-0554

You can't list your XFINITY Voice telephone number.

You can't list International telephone numbers..

You can't list telephone numbers beginning with area codes of 900, 500, 700, or 976.

You can't list telephone numbers with extensions of 555.

You can't list 911 telephone numbers.

You can't list 411 telephone numbers."

As near as I can tell that number fails all those qualifications?
